Dear Blog,
I am currently hoping to study abroad next year, for the first semester of 2009. I hope to go to France, but any country will be exciting and teach me a lot of different things. The only thing that i'm really afraid of is not knowing anybody. Hopefully I will make friends and someone will be there to show me the ropes. To study abroad there are plenty of things I have needed to overcome to get where I am today. One of those challenges was how I was going to afford it. I applied for scholarships, and have been working very hard to earn money through my job and fundraisers. Another challenge that I overcame was wondering if I would miss my friends and family too much. In the end, I decided that this was a once in a life time opportunity that I couldn't pass up. Why I chose to study abroad in high school is because I think that highschoolers are still learning about life, and I think that the information I learn while abroad will help me later in life. My family and friends support my decision to go, and are thrilled that I am determined to pursue my dreams.
